The one thing I love about a new year beginning is reflecting on the journey so far and think about the new year ahead.
I'm taking some time to go back to my original mood boards to make sure that everything links back to the core of what The Well Worn is about - REMADE, RECYCLED, REWORN and REPEAT.
The first piece I made for The Well Worn was a Indigo Striped Scarf - mended using Sashiko Stitch and cut from a vintage indigo striped mudcloth bought at the Rosebowl Flea Market.
The making process of these scarfs is really what The Well Worn is all about - vintage fabrics recycled into something new - using up beautiful things already in existence and giving them a new lease of life. Creating the vintage of the future.
“If it can’t be reduced, reused, repaired, rebuilt, refurbished, refinished, resold, recycled or composted, then it should be restricted, redesigned or removed from production.”
