Why Ecovero 100% Viscose?
I decided not to use recycled polyester blends. Why?
Because the ones I found have virgin polyester mixed in with them. And polyester takes up to 200 years to decompose versus 3 months for Viscose.
And why not just ‘normal’ viscose?
Viscose is made from wood pulp which is a great natural resource. But I wanted to make sure that for every tree used to make our fabric another one was planted. Our viscose only uses pulp from sustainably managed forests and we are confident in this because it is certified.
Also the manufacturing of our Ecovero viscose generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic Viscose.
And in the background I will keep working on how we can get better.
